Location: Aberdeen Central High School/ATEC Academy(registered participants will be notified of exact location/parking closer to the workshop date)
Intended Audience: School counselors, administrators, CTE teachers, district stakeholders
Description: CTE Connect professional development is an opportunity to visit with other CTE educators, talk with industry partners, and see and hear what others are doing across the state to grow and innovate their CTE programs. The CTE Connect event in Aberdeen will provide participants with a variety of career cluster-related topics with a specific focus on IT, Arts/AV, Business, Health Science, AFNR, STEM, FACS. Participants will connect with the ATEC Academy at Aberdeen Central to learn more about their E-sports program, television producation, AFNR, and the implementation of the Child Development Associate Credential. There will be an opportunity to network with business and industry as we learn more about the Big Idea Competition and new technology in the field of precision AG with an emphasis on drone technology and field mapping. Participants will connect with Northern State University and learn more about the new innovation center, the new human performance center, and the new imaging lab/television/video production facility.
