Topic: Connect CTE 2023 - Yankton

Time: 8:30 AM - 3:00 PM (CT)
Location: Yankton High School/CMTEA Building (registered participants will be notified of exact location/parking closer to the workshop date)
Intended Audience: School counselors, administrators, CTE teachers, district stakeholders
Description: CTE Connect professional development is an opportunity to visit with other CTE educators, talk with industry partners, and see and hear what others are doing across the state to grow and innovate their CTE programs. The CTE Connect event in Yankton will provide participants with a variety of career cluster-related topics. Participants will connect with the the adminstration and staff at Yankton School District to learn more about their innovative and engaging 6-12 CTE programs. Participants will also get the chance to tour the SIMS Lab at Mount Marty University, talk with Avera Health about career-connected learning opportunities, tour L&M Radiator, and meet with a panel of industry partners, workforce development, and school officials in Yankton to discuss Work-based Learning at YHS. Participants will also have a chance to see the new Trailhead Learning Center that will help expand Yankton's Education & Training CTE cluster.
