This workshop equips paraprofessionals with an essential understanding of how students learn to read and evidence-based strategies for supporting literacy instruction. Grounded in the Science of Reading, this training explores the cognitive processes involved in reading, including phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. Participants will gain practical insights into structured literacy approaches and learn how to assist teachers in delivering effective, research-based reading instruction.
