Full course description
Join the South Dakota Department of Education in collaboration with SchoolHouse Connection for a webinar series, designed to support educators, administrators, and liaisons in understanding and implementing the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act.
Each session will focus on various topics, including determining eligibility, supporting immigrant refugee students, identifying younger children under age six, addressing unique needs of Native students experiencing homelessness. The webinars will provide practical insights, best practices, guidance ensure compliance requirements offer dedicated office hours additional support.
There will a total of six webinars with additional opportunities for office hours. The webinar dates and times can be found below:
