The South Dakota English Language Proficiency Assessment is ACCESS for ELs 2.0 (Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State-to-State for English Learners). ACCESS for ELs is taken annually by identified English learners to measure their English proficiency. The South Dakota Department of Education will offer a one-hour training on what school districts need to do to prepare for this school year’s ACCESS and Alternate ACCESS test, which will be administered Jan. 23-Feb. 24, 2023.
