The South Dakota Department of Education is offering a year-long, regional workshop series leading schools and districts through the South Dakota Comprehensive Needs Assessment (SDCNA) Framework and Process. This opportunity will be open to all shcools and districts interested in participating, with a preference given to schools identified as Targeted and Additional Targeted Support and Improvement. Facilitators trained in the Framework and Process will conduct the workshop series which is comprised of five sessions delivered in a mix of zoom and in-person formats. The purpose of the series is to build district and school capacity in conducting a needs analysis, looking at both quantitative and qualitative data sources. Districts and schools will commit to having a team attend each session and complete work between sessions. Topics will include: SDCNA overview; Data collection and analysis; Prioritizing and analyzing highest identified needs; and Creating an action plan. This is Session 1.
