The South Dakota English Language Proficiency Assessment is ACCESS for ELs 2.0 (Assessing Comprehension and Communication in English State-to-State for English Learners). ACCESS for ELs is taken annually by identified English learners to measure their English proficiency. The Department of Education will offer one-hour training on several topics related to what schools need to do to prepare for this year’s ACCESS assessment focusing on Online Grades 1-12 administration which will be administered Jan. 23-Feb. 23, 2024.
