This in-person workshop will be presented in Sioux Falls on September 23, 2024, from 8:30am-12:30pmCT.
Session Description:
The Core Content Connectors (CCCs) are SD’s alternate academic achievement standards (AAAS) for students with significant cognitive disabilities. At this workshop, two South Dakota special education direct service providers will share how they use the CCCs to guide instruction of grade-level content for ALL students, regardless of achievement level. The workshop will also address how to identify communication modes for students. Participants will practice and leave with tried and true, practical examples of how to incorporate CCCs into instruction.
Target Audience:
This workshop is designed for any SD professional who works with students with significant cognitive disabilities, including special education teachers, paraprofessionals, general education teachers, special education directors, related services providers, and administrators.
