How should we teach science to students with significant cognitive disabilities?

 

General education science teachers and special education teachers are encouraged to enroll in this self-paced course to view a one-hour video series on science alternate academic achievement standards.  The videos describe how teachers can use the science Core Content Connectors and achievement level descriptors to instruct and assess students with significant cognitive disabilities on the same grade-level science content as their general education peers. One (1) continuing education contact hour (CECH) is available.
