Full course description
Target Audience:
- Teachers, administrators, paraprofessionals, and related service providers of students with significant cognitive disabilities (the 1% of students who participate in alternate assessment).
ON-DEMAND, half-hour SD 1% CoP sessions by the Office of Special Education Programs, covering:
- alternate academic achievement standards (Core Content Connectors)
- alternate IEP goals with objectives/benchmarks
- alternate instruction and assessment
- alternate report cards
Each half-hour session includes:
- Federal laws and DOE guidance regarding students with significant cognitive disabilities; these will be recorded for on-demand viewing.
- Informal time for district special education staff to network, ask questions, and share successful district examples regarding students in the 1% population.
Continuing Education Contact Hours:
- After viewing ALL FOUR trainings, two continuing education contact hours (2 CECH) are available through Dec. 19.
