Full course description

This course aims to provide information to educators, administrators, related professionals, and graduate students interested in learning more about Autism Spectrum Disorder. The focus of this course will be to introduce information about identification, characteristics, and diagnostic criteria for autistic students or those suspected of having autism. This course is an asynchronous offering so a computer with internet is required to access the modules.  

This course is offered for either 1 graduate credit through University of South Dakota or 15 Continuing Education hours.  The requirements are different for each.

  • Registration for graduate credit closes on Septermber 4, 2024 and needs to be completed on the USD platform. Directions in the course syllabus. 
  • Registration for CECHs closes December 8, 2024.
  • All course requirements must be completed by December 10, 2024.
