Full course description
The Office of Special Education Programs invites special education professionals and school administrators to view this two-hour webinar recording regarding navigating the provisions of a Free and Appropriate Education (FAPE). Two continuing education contact hours (CECH) are available.
This webinar will explore the critical components of providing a Free Appropriate Public Education (FAPE) to students with disabilities, with a particular focus on developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that meet each student's unique needs. Attendees will gain insights into best practices for making informed, collaborative placement decisions—whether for preschool students or those requiring out-of-district placements—while balancing legal mandates and the Least Restrictive Environment (LRE) standard.
