Ignite! Public Librarianship Course 2027

SDSL's Ignite! Public Librarianship Course is an engaging online professional development opportunity for all public library staff. This year's 8-week course, Beyond Books: The Many Ways Public Libraries Help, explores the many ways libraries support their communities, from connecting people with information and resources to providing technology, learning opportunities, accessible services, and community support. Through practical learning content, guest sessions, real-world examples, and useful resources, participants will discover ideas and strategies they can put to work right away. The course culminates in a "Beyond Books Implementation Plan" focused on one practical way to strengthen how their library helps its community.

Successful completion of the course = 16 CECHs
