Weeding (or deselection) of library materials is an essential function of library management. Why weed? Increased circulation Physical condition Accuracy of information This training course is available to all library staff and trustees to learn at your own pace. By the end of the training, participants will: Understand the importance of weeding. Be empowered to start the process. Be confident in explaining the "why" to the library board, staff, governing body, and patrons. Gain ideas on what to do with 'weeded' materials.

Completion of the course will earn 1 hour of Continuing Education credit.
